Youth Squad - Dance Class

The Dance Class program will be offered twice a week for groups of participants in grades 5-7 at the Cedar Cottage Neighbourhood House Out-of-School Care at Laura Secord Elementary School.
The intent of the Dance Class is to teach the youth dance skills, physical strength, stamina, and flexibility, in addition to developing group cooperation, leadership skills, and an understanding of the importance of fitness and a healthy lifestyle.
The goals of the Dance Class are:
- To encourage interaction with other youth that they might not otherwise partner with; and,
- To bring together youth from different ethnic and racial groups for a chance to socialize and learn new skills.
